The sled carriage for dynamic tests allows impact to be simulated up to a speed of 50 km/h. The bellelli Crash Test can also be set up to simulate side or front impact at higher speeds, as laid down by proposals for future laws.

The tests are carried out using P-series dummies, designed to simulate the structure of children during the various stages of their growth, based on a wide statistical base of anthropometric measurements.

The dummies are fitted with sensors that detect the vibrations that reach the child during impact and the movements of the dummy in the seat.
